Hello! My name is Lola and I am 95 years old. My loving husband of 76 years recently passed away and while I have a supportive and loving immediate family (i.e., daughter, granddaughters, and great grandchildren), they live on the west side of Washington State. So, I'm looking for a kind and engaging home share person or elderly caregiver to live with me as my companion.
I live in a cozy home with a thriving garden, flanked by the Horse Heaven Hills in Prosser, Washington. My house is located in one of the original residential neighborhoods of Prosser and is perched on a dead-end loop making it a quiet area that is walkable (0.5 miles/15 mins walk) to downtown. The historic downtown boasts cute shops, tasty restaurants, and a variety of services (i.e., beauty salon, etc.). In recent decades Prosser has become known for its thriving wine tasting and winery scene, making it a destination for wine-lovers far and wide.
The perfect candidate for me is someone who is compassionate and open to sharing my interests as well as helping with basic chores (i.e., cooking, light housework, using my car to drive me to local destinations, etc.). My interests include decorating, reading books, reading the local news, watching movies, shopping, and chatting/exchanging stories about past and present. My primary activities are within Prosser city limits and include grocery shopping, getting my nails done, going to Starbucks for a mocha, and visiting with friends and local extended family. With the help of a companion I would be interested in being driven to father destinations such as the Tri Cities for shopping and lunches out.
I am in need of a companion that will engage with me socially and emotionally, someone who can be in the house so I know that I am not alone, and someone that can keep an eye on my well-being as I continue to grieve my late husband.
Whoever becomes my companion, they will have their own bedroom and access to a separate half bath. The shower and kitchen as well as the rest of the house will be common areas.
