Our family is seeking a compassionate, reliable live-in caregiver for our 73-year-old aunt, Donna, who lives in her Oakland home with her small dog, Bear.

Donna is largely independent but experiences memory-related challenges associated with dementia. We are looking for someone who can provide companionship, gentle support with daily routines, and help maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Companionship: Spending time with Donna through conversation, watching TV, taking walks, and participating in everyday activities.
- Meal Preparation: Assisting with breakfast, lunch, and dinner to ensure Donna is eating regular, nutritious meals.
- Light Housekeeping: Keeping common areas tidy, helping with laundry, and supporting general household organization. (A professional cleaning service visits every four weeks.)
- Medication Reminders: Providing reminders to take prescribed daily medications on schedule.
- Errands & Transportation: Assisting with grocery shopping and providing transportation to appointments as needed.
- Pet Care: Helping care for Bear, Donna’s friendly 8-year-old small dog, including feeding, walks, grooming visits, and veterinary appointments.

WHAT WE OFFER
-Private Accommodation: A private bedroom with a shared bathroom in Donna’s Oakland home. Home has 2 bathrooms.
- Compensation: Free room and board in exchange for companionship and caregiving support. Additional compensation is available and negotiable based on experience and responsibilities.
- Time Off: Two days off per week, with scheduling to be discussed and agreed upon.
About You

We are looking for someone who is patient, dependable, caring, and comfortable supporting an older adult with dementia. Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required for the right person.
