Iam a care giver with 6 years experience i have worked with people who have learning disabilities, dementia autism diabetes
And I produced positive results during my time working with them.I gained a lot of experience like when are working with autistic clients you need to understand them and in no case must you change their routine because if you do so you make them nervous and confused because they are used to stick to their routine. Same applies when you are dealing with for example a client that is not mobile you just do not move them around without talking to them first and ask their permission. During my time working with services users I have also seen that when ever you are rendering your services to them as a care giver you need to engage them with decisions making on how they want you to take care of them ,let the make their choice on the type of clothes they want to wear ,the activites they want to do for the day.if working with services users who gave mental illness have experienced that you need to take their feelings in consideration because what they will be expressing at that time is what they will be feeling so we do not need to take it for granted.
