I am a Certified Nurse Aide although I haven't practiced in a while.

I took some time off to take care of an ailing husband (Stage 4 Renal Failure) and in the process, I became a mother (which I'm so grateful for).

Now that my significant other is in great health and my children are of age, I'd like to get back to what I do best - Caregiving.

I went to Nursing School many years ago in Durham - North Carolina. Did my clinicals at Duke and University of North Carolina Hospitals.

I later moved to Texas and changed my major to Psychology (the mind really fascinates me).

Throughout my school years, I continued to work as a Certified Nurse Aide.

At The University of North Carolina Hospital, I worked in a float pool. That means that every day, I had the opportunity to work with different colleagues and to take care of many patients with different needs.

I have taken care of patients in Triage,Cardiac, Renal, Med-Surg, L&D, Neuro and Psych.

I have also done home care with multiple agencies both in North Carolina and in Dallas Texas.

I also did a few live in cases with patients in Dallas, Texas. My longest live-in case was 3 years with Senior Helpers, a Dallas agency.

I am clean, well organized and I make sure that my patients are always a priority.

I communicate well with other caregivers, doctors and family members.

My CPR Certification needs to be renewed but my nursing and care giver skills are still excellent.
