I am currently a student of Veterinary Physiotherapy (MVetPhys) at Writtle University College and hold a BSc (Hons) in Animal Biology from Anglia Ruskin University ( 1 year ). My academic background, combined with hands-on experience with animals, particularly horses and dogs, has given me a strong foundation in animal welfare, handling, and rehabilitation.
Throughout my studies, I have gained extensive practical experience, especially working with horses. My training has included rehabilitation exercises, mobility support, therapeutic handling, and an understanding of animal anatomy, biomechanics, and welfare standards. I am passionate about applying physiotherapy techniques to support recovery, improve performance, and enhance overall animal wellbeing, always under professional guidance and best-practice standards.
In addition to my academic training, I have lifelong experience with animals. I grew up surrounded by animals and have been actively involved in animal care from a young age. I previously owned three horses and competed in American riding competitions, specifically Team Penning, which required strong communication, discipline, and a deep understanding of equine behaviour and conditioning. This experience strengthened my confidence in handling horses safely and calmly in both competitive and care environments.
I also work as a self-employed pet sitter and dog walker through Rover, where I provide daily care, exercise, feeding, and medication support while building trust with clients through reliability and clear communication. This role has further developed my patience, empathy, and ability to adapt to the individual needs of different animals.
I am a responsible, dedicated, and motivated individual who is eager to continue learning and developing professionally within the animal care and rehabilitation field.
