Family's Introduction to Nanny
My older son, Vid, is currently at home because the school staff cannot provide proper care for him. He receives 5-6 hours of sessions per week, during which developmental teachers visit him in the morning. My younger son, Keve, is taken to a nearby school by his father every morning.
Right now (as our previous aupair had to get back her home), I need an au pair who can help with household chores (vacuuming, mopping, washing dishes, tidying up) and take care of Vid during my working hours on weekdays. You would go for walks, play with him (he is not easy to engage with), feed him, or simply rest together—he mostly likes to sleep while being held.
I often work from home, but I increasingly need to be present at the clinic as well. I also do the grocery shopping and attend university. Currently, I am studying diatetics at a university 200 km away from our home, where I need to go for 4-5 days once a month. During these trips, Vid might need your help from the moment he wakes up, and sometimes I don’t return until late afternoon or even have to stay overnight. In such cases, the grandparents often step in to help, so everything doesn’t fall entirely on you.
In the near fruture he will get peritonal dialises at home. It will be a big change in our live, so if I could find someone, who have experiences in healthcare would be bonus.
Vid has a special diet, and I always take care of his lunch, but for the rest of us, I usually just prepare something very simple—if I have the time. If you enjoy cooking, that’s a bonus, but if not, that’s perfectly fine too.
From the village, you can easily reach nearby places on foot or by bike, and there are both a bus and a train station within a few hundred meters. For longer stays (more than 6 months), we plan also provide you with a car, as Vid sometimes has intensive therapy sessions in a neighboring town, which can only be accessed by car.
Occasionally, we might ask you to look after both kids in the evening or for a few hours on the weekend while we go out for dinner or attend an event. Of course, this would be for extra pay and only with your agreement.
We both speak hungarian and english, I speak spanish too and my husband speaks german a bit.
We live in a small village, but the neighbor city, Tata is the one of the most beautiful city in Hungary. This part of Hungary is full of wonderful places where you can take long walks, go on hikes, explore historical sites, and enjoy being close to nature. We live in a house with a garden, where we spend most of our time outdoors in the summer and these weekends, we often cook in our outdoor kitchen while the kids and their friends play outside.
We also have an outdoor cat named Mirmó, and an indoor-only cat named Áfonya and now we are waiting for our new puppy, Remus.
I have been aupair when I was young, I know it is not easy to live far from your home with a new family, but these were my best times and experiences in my student life. I hope we can find anybody who could form a family member and we can give all the good memories, experiences and pleasure that I had.
If you feel enthusiastic about working with children, can be a loving companion to the boys, and are proactive and dedicated to gaining new experiences in caring for a child with special needs, we would love to hear from you! We warmly welcome your introduction letter and look forward to a personal conversation.
Job Description

There is a problem in Hungary that the country does not let foreign people from third world country to work here for longer time.
