Family's Introduction to Nanny
We’re so excited at the possibility of welcoming you into our family! We’re Jordan and Evan, living in the lively suburbs of Washington, DC, in Maryland. Our home is full of love, laughter, and a little happy chaos thanks to our wonderful children — KJ, age 4, and Ellie, almost 3. This fall, they’ll both be attending the same school, and we’re all looking forward to this new chapter.
KJ is our energetic animal lover and soccer enthusiast, while Ellie lights up any room with her love for reading, dancing, and soon gymnastics. They’re both taking swim lessons, adore outdoor play, and are now fully potty trained. Our days are busy but joyful, with Evan working as a seasoned attorney at a bank and me serving as a chief executive at a global non-profit.
We’re looking for a warm, caring, and dependable person to be an important part of our family life. Most school days, you’ll help get the kids ready in the mornings, drive them to and from school, and enjoy time together in the afternoons — whether that’s playing, reading, doing activities, or helping with their evening routines. While they’re at school, you’ll act as our house manager, keeping the home running smoothly with cooking, cleaning, and assisting with family tasks that keep our household happy and organized.
We believe in a home where everyone pitches in, including the kids. We’d love for you to be a positive role model who encourages responsibility, kindness, and good habits. We welcome you to share your favorite meals and traditions, and in turn, we’ll share ours — our kitchen, like our home, is open to you.
Our family values connection — with each other, with our community, and with the world. We embrace Christian values, but there’s no expectation for you to participate in prayers or church visits. A kind acknowledgment during the kids’ grace or bedtime prayers would mean a lot. We spend plenty of time outdoors, whether it’s playing in the backyard with our sweet dog, Delilah, enjoying local parks, or heading out for family outings. Delilah is gentle and friendly, and we always supervise her around the children.
We love to keep the kids engaged with fun and educational activities, use positive discipline, and create an environment filled with encouragement and learning. The kids are learning sign language and would be thrilled to share it with you, and we’d love for you to share your language and culture in return.
Our extended family is important to us, and you’d be welcome to join in family gatherings. You’ll also have time to explore the area with a car available for your use — we’re close to vibrant cities like Washington, DC, Annapolis, and Baltimore, as well as beaches, trails, and attractions like Six Flags America.
We hope to find someone who is not only capable and reliable, but also ready to embrace the joys and challenges of family life — someone who will laugh with us, grow with us, and create memories alongside us. Your time here will be about more than just a role; it will be about becoming part of our story.
We can’t wait to meet you and welcome you into our home.
