Family's Introduction to Nanny
Hello we are the Manikateri family and we live in the United States and Costa Rica. My husband and I have 3 boys under the age of 3 and are expecting another baby soon. In the United States my husband gets his other 3 children ages 9,11,12 for the summer. Babysitting it the USA from may-September will be 6 children. Babysitting in Costa Rica will only be 3 children.
Job Description
Nanny Position Requirements (May–September)
Family Overview:
• 3 young boys (ages 1, 2, and 3)
• 3 older children (ages 8, 10, 12) visiting during summer (minimal supervision needed)

Primary Responsibilities
Childcare (Main Focus – Younger Children):
• Provide attentive, nurturing care for toddlers (ages 1–3)
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and structured daily routine
• Support emotional development, patience, and positive behavior guidance
• Assist with meals, snacks, and feeding routines
• Help with naps and daily hygiene (diaper changes, potty training, etc.)

Educational Responsibilities
• Lead age-appropriate learning activities based on a homeschooling program
• Incorporate:
• Early literacy (letters, reading readiness)
• Numbers and basic math concepts
• Sensory play and motor skill development
• Introduce and practice Spanish language learning daily
• Encourage creativity through play, music, outdoor exploration, and crafts

Older Children (Ages 8–12)
• Occasional supervision and engagement
• Assist with light guidance or activities if needed
• Help maintain a respectful and inclusive environment among all children

Household Support (Light Housekeeping)
• Clean up after children (toys, meals, learning materials)
• Light kitchen tasks (children’s meals, dishes used during the day)
• Older Children’s laundry only
• Keep common areas tidy and organized
• Assist with maintaining a calm and orderly home environment

• Accompany family on outings or travel when needed
• Outdoor play supervision and activity planning
• Maintain open communication with parents about children’s progress and needs
• Be flexible and adaptable to changing schedules
• Respect family values, routines, and parenting style

• Experience with infants/toddlers and multiple children
• Background in early childhood education or homeschooling (preferred)
• Spanish-speaking or strong Spanish teaching ability (preferred)
• Patient, energetic, and proactive

• Comfortable with travel and outdoor environments
• CPR/First
Schedule
Position runs from May through September
Guaranteed 2 days off per week
Occasional evenings and weekendswith advance notice
Live-in arrangementwith a private bedroom and bathroom
Must be willing to travel (travel expenses covered)
Compensation & Benefits
Private furnished bedroom and bathroom
Utilities and Wi-Fi included, with shared kitchen access
All travel expenses covered, including transportation and lodging when necessary
