Hello! My name is Xander. I am a 29-year-old from England with a passion for working with children, teaching English, travelling, and discovering new cultures.

I would describe myself as calm, patient, kind, and responsible, but also energetic, creative, playful, and someone who loves to make people laugh. I believe children learn best when they feel happy, encouraged, and able to be themselves.

I have a degree in Theatre Arts, Education and Deaf Studies, I am CELTA-qualified, and I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools, supporting children from early years through to teenagers. I have also worked as an online English tutor, helping learners develop their confidence and communication skills. My theatre background means I love using storytelling, games, creativity, and conversation to make English learning fun and natural.

Although I have never been an official au pair before, I have lots of experience supporting children and young people, and I would love the opportunity to become a caring older brother figure, share my British culture and language, and truly become part of your family's everyday life.

Outside of teaching, I love travelling and exploring beautiful gardens, historic places, and new areas. I enjoy photography, creating things using Canva and social media, swimming, home workouts, board games, spending time with friends, and attending church. My Christian faith is an important part of my life and has taught me the values of kindness, honesty, and respect for others.

I am excited to experience life in another country, learn about your traditions, enjoy your food and culture, and create wonderful memories together. After my au pair experience, I hope to continue building an international career in English teaching and use everything I learn from my time with your family in my future work.
