Job Description
We are looking for a couple (preferred) or an individual person for a stable, long-term position on a small private quinta (rural property) in the Alentejo region of Portugal.
This position is for people with a genuine affinity for country life — nature, animals, and practical outdoor work. We value responsibility, independence, and a sincere appreciation for the rural environment.
The role includes general property maintenance, care of gardens and outdoor areas, support with the organization and upkeep of the house, and daily care and attention to animals (3 dogs and 4 cats).
We offer a formal employment contract, full legal conditions and contributions, and independent accommodation (a separate one-bedroom house with a terrace and small garden, located in a nearby village approximately 2 km from the property). There is also the possibility to develop personal projects related to gardening, plants, or animals within the available space.
A valid driving licence is required for at least one member of the couple. Practical skills in gardening, maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical work, or household systems are highly valued.
