I am an american living in Palermo Italy - my husband is Italian. We have 3 children and a dog and a cat. We have a lot of help with our kids (currently have 3 nannies) but we decided to bring in a live-in maid to replace our daily maid service.
We expect the following:
— General cleaning and up keeping of the house
— Cook most meals for both parents and children
— set table ahead of meals
— occasionally serve food when guests are present
— Laundry and ironing
— Keep the house neat and organized (closets etc)
— thoroughly clean bathrooms and floors (daily)
— grocery shopping and restocking
— Minor errands (dry cleaning etc)
— feed our pets and make sure their environment is kept clean and tidy
— Occasionally walking the dog (we have a dedicated dog walker but we do need additional walks at times)
— willingness to travel when family goes on holiday
— wear uniform during the day
— speak and write conversational English (my native language)
— willingness to work on weekends (we will assure at least one day off a week)
— Oversee house inventory / report things needed to be replaced
— willingness to be with kids if baby sitters are not present (very rare occurrence)
— once a month deep-cleaning (cabinets, silverware etc)
We absolutely can’t have a smoker (our daughter has asthma)
