We are a father from New Zealand, mother from Romania and two children aged two and four. We are likely to have another child or children in the near future. We move to Marbella at the end of January 2024 and are looking for an amazing au pair to join our amazing family. We are looking for someone who can help take the pressure off us as parents at certain times of the day such as meal times and getting ready to go to school but also someone who can add to our children’s education with their Spanish language and culture. As a person we want someone who is creative and positive who likes to express themselves with art, music, sports or any other fun skills that you can stimulate and motivate the children with. We especially want the children and indeed the whole family to learn Spanish and all about Spanish culture. You will live with us in a terrific home.

We are looking for a live in nanny for our children aged 5 and 2.5. Our accommodation is very nice, totally separate but still part of the section that the main villa is on. We are in a private gated community in Benahavis near la Quinta, very close to all the fun of the area. We have a housekeeper who cooks three meals a day for all of us and this would include yourself if you wanted but the guest apartment has a nice kitchen if you wanted to use that. We have a pool inside and outside, gym, sauna, spa and cinema room. Upstairs we have two rooms we are making into a music and an art room for everyone to learn music and art. If you have an art or music talent this would be really great.

In terms of the job, we want someone who is energetic and fun that can enrich the children (and the parents) with fun Spanish language, Spanish culture and generally to encourage them to play and enjoy the world they are in. Ideally we want a native Spanish person. We need you to be able to drive in order to take the children where they need to go from time to time for school or for fun things to do or places to go. We would want the hours to be 45 hours spread over the week with 5 weeks paid holiday a year that would be organised so that we have you to help when the children are on holiday as much as possible. Also we would like to be able to take you with us on Spanish trips for cultural education to other areas of Spain and potentially if you wanted, to other countries if it was needed and you wanted to do it. Expenses are always paid by us of course. As much as possible we want to learn Spanish as quickly as possible with you.
In terms of income, we are looking at a monthly income that is based on experience from €1500 to €2500 pcm. There are no expenses for rent or bills and food from the main kitchen - you will have your own kitchen that you can supply yourself as well. If you have your own car we will arrange a petrol allowance otherwise you will use one of our cars.
We are a "fun focused" family. We believe success is a rounded life with lots of play and laughter. I (Gavin) am from New Zealand and mum (Anca) is from Romania. The children were born in London and we moved to Marbella a month ago. We are likely to have one more child as well.
