We are a family of 4 with 2 small hypoallergenic dogs ("toy poodles"). My name is Philip and my wife's name is Malin. We have to twin boys (non identical) with the name Alfred and Walter. They boys are healthy and attend "kindergarden" usually from 9-15. Malin has chronic muscle pains ecpecially in neck, back, shoulder and headache therefore unfortunately not able to work. It is very difficulty for her to be alone with two small kids and do a lot of basic housecleaning. I will work in Oslo (as a medical doctor) for 1 more year (until end of May 2024) and we have realized we are dependent on getting help from an au pair ecpecially until the boys are less dependent. I will have to leave for work around 5-6 in the morning and won't be back before 18-18.30 ish. The boys walk on their own, but needs help up and down stairs and into and out of the car. Malin needs help with the boys ecpecially before and after kindergarden. We also need help with simple cleaning of the house daily (see spesifications under duties above). The au pair would get her own room and we also have an extra bathroom and livingroom with a big tv that the au pair can use while living here. All high standard in a newly built house.
On a regular basis we want the au pair to work from around 07.30-10.30 and from 15.00-18.00 Monday to Friday. We only need help Saturdays every 7-8 weeks (when I have work weekend). Those weeks we need help Saturdays we'll make sure you get a day of in the week for example.
We just had an au pair originally from South Africa working for us from January and will end in mid August because she has decide to start nursing school. We had a very good relationship with the au pair and it was a good experience for all of us. We need an au pair now for minimum 1 year. Could be prolonged to 2 years if interest/need.
Our home is situated close to bus and trainstation. The train to Oslo takes about 1 hour and 10minutes. We provide a bicycle for the au pair. Short bicycle ride to for example the beach from our house (about 5-10min). The bus takes about 20min to city center of Tønsberg. Little bit longer to city center og Sandefjord.

- Help with carrying/moving the kids up and down stairs and into and out of the car.
- Help bring the kids to and from kindergarden (barnehage)
- Help dressing and feeding the kids.
- The au pair usually never have to be alone with the kids since my wife doesn't work because og her chronic pains.
- Daily basic cleaning in the house (vacuuming, dusting, help keep a clean kitchen, cleaning up mess of toys etc)
- Cleaning the guest bathroom and bedroom (the au pairs own bathroom/bedroom) once a week.
