We are a friendly and open-minded doctor couple, recently returning to Hungary after living and working in Belgium for the past two years. Now we are settling into a beautiful family home with a garden and pool, located in one of the most peaceful green neighborhoods of Budapest.

We have three daughters. Our eldest is 14 and already independent, so we are mainly looking for support in caring for our two younger girls, aged 7 and 4. They are bright, well-behaved, talkative, kind, and open-minded girls who love to play and listen to stories, fairy tales. The older speaks both Dutch and Hungarian fluently, the younger understands Dutch but does not speak it, yet. Both are curious about the world around them.

We’re looking for someone who can help us with the daily routine arounfd the children – picking them up from school, accompanying them to sports and music classes, or spending time with them in the afternoons until we return from work, usually by 6 PM.

In addition to childcare, we would appreciate your support with some light household tasks such as, small grocery shopping or watering plants. We already have a person helping with the cleaning. We hope this is not overwhelming – just simple help that keeps our home running smoothly.

Our home is well connected to the city center of Budapest via tram, bus, and metro – it takes about 30 minutes to reach downtown. The nearest language school is only 800 meters away, and offers classes in English, Italian, German, French, and Spanish.

As a family, we love spending time outdoors – hiking, cycling, and being active – and we also enjoy hosting friends for relaxed get-togethers. We value honesty, clear communication, mutual respect, and want to raise our children with a modern, European open mindset.

We are looking for a kind and cheerful au pair who enjoys spending time with children and would like to become part of our family for the long term. We have always had wonderful experiences with our previous babysitters – we appreciated their support, respected their work, and treated them as part of the family.
