We are an active, friendly and warm family with two cheerful and energetic kids who love to play and to learn.

We live in a beautiful house with lots of space for the family. We love it when friends and family members visit us. Next to school, our children spend a lot of time playing with the kids in the neighborhood, playing sports (soccer, hocky, basketball, cycling, ...), and meeting their friends for play dates. Also, we enjoy all the good things that Hamburg has to offer: concerts and art, going out for meals, and the stunning nature (the beach and a beautiful park are both only 10 minutes walk from our house).

Both Anna and Sebastian have lived abroad for extended periods, in countries including the US, UK, Spain, Bolivia, ... We love to travel and learn about other cultures. We both speak native German, fluent English, decent Spanish and Seb also speaks some pretty bad French.

We love the idea of inviting an AuPair into our family, because we want to give our children the chance to deeply connect with another culture!

We also believe that an AuPair stay with us, can be a great opportunity to learn about German language and culture. This conviction is rooted in a personal experience: 25 years ago, I (Seb) have lived for 6 months in La Paz, Bolivia, working in a home for kids that lived in the streets. Not only have I learned Spanish really quickly with the kids, but it has also deeply changed my view of the world and helped me grow into the person i am today. I would love to offer others a similar learning and development opportunity as i have experienced back then!

Hi!

We're looking for an AuPair to live with our family. We offer a great opportunity to learn about German culture and are eager to learn about our AuPair's culture!

Our family consists of Anna (39), Seb (45), Johannes (boy, 7) and Antonia (girl, 5). Johannes loves soccer, his Lego bricks, and asking a lot of questions about everything and anything. Antonia loves Hockey, music and dancing, and role playing with her dolls and stuffed animals. We live in Hamburg, in a modern house with a large garden, situated in a neighborhood where many families live and that is close to the city center.


The AuPair's role will focus on the following:
- helping with the daily routines of our kids: like getting them ready for school in the morning, picking them up after school, taking them to sports practice, tidying up after playtime, ...
- caring for, playing and doing activities with our kids, both indoors and outdoors
- light household chores, like cleaning up the kitchen and the dining table, vacuum cleaning, some laundry, ...
- babysitting in the evening, when we are away
- if you like cooking, it's a plus if you prepare some easy meals from time to time

In total we expect 25-30 hours of work per week.

We're very responsible employers and will reliably provide fair pay, free time, a nice room and your own bathroom and access to our kitchen, laundry and so on.
