About Our Family
We are a warm, smoke-free and alcohol-free family who deeply value harmony, health, and quality time together. Both parents have stable professional careers, but we always make room for family life. Our two children get along very well—they love playing, exploring, and learning together.
In our free time, we enjoy cooking meals as a family and trying new recipes. Once a month, we host small gatherings with close friends, where laughter, food, and cultural exchange are always part of the evening.
---
Where We Live
We live in Huizhou, a beautiful city in the heart of the Greater Bay Area, conveniently close to Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. Huizhou enjoys a mild climate—winters are short and gentle—and is known for its green spaces, mountains, lakes, and easy access to the sea. It’s a safe, relaxed, and family-friendly city with fresh air and plenty of outdoor activities.
---
Why We Want an Au Pair
We believe children learn best in a natural, pressure-free environment. Rather than formal English lessons, we hope our children can absorb the language through daily conversations, stories, songs, and play.
We do not see an Au Pair as a household employee, but as a temporary member of our family. We want you to share our meals, join our weekend activities, celebrate festivals with us, and even take part in our monthly gatherings. In return, we offer respect, care, and genuine inclusion.
---
Your Role & Responsibilities
Your main focus will be childcare and gentle English exposure:
- Chatting and playing with the children in English
- Reading picture books and telling simple stories
- Doing easy crafts and creative activities
- Taking the children to the park, playground, or library
Light child-related chores only:
- Tidying up toys and children’s books
- Keeping the kids’ area clean and organized
? No heavy housework, no laundry for adults, no cooking for the whole family.
---
What We Offer
- A private bedroom with a comfortable living space
- Monthly pocket money: RMB 2,000–3,000
- Reimbursement of your round-trip airfare
- Support for language course fees
- At least 1.5 days off per week and opportunities to travel on holidays
- Inclusion in family trips, celebrations, and social events
---
Our Expectations
We are looking for someone who:
- Is patient, kind, and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children
- Loves interacting face-to-face rather than being glued to a phone
- Is open-minded and curious about Chinese culture and daily life
- Has a cheerful, proactive personality
- Wants to become part of a family, not just “complete tasks”
---
A Note to You
If you love children, value meaningful cultural exchange, and dream of experiencing everyday life in China as a local—rather than a tourist—we would be happy to welcome you into our home. Together, let’s create a warm, bilingual environment where your presence makes a real difference in our children’s growth.
We look forward to hearing from you.
