Dear Au Pair,
I’d first like to thank you for considering becoming part of our family. We’re very excited to welcome you to our home and are looking forward to this awesome experience! We hope you can learn a lot from it as well.

Our family consists of myself (Tyler, mom), my husband Quincy and our two young boys, Kahlae and Khari. Kahlae will be 3 in June and Khari was just born in March 2023. We live in the town of Rowlett, Texas. It’s a suburban town near Dallas, Texas with lots to do and plenty of yummy restaurants to try.

I’ve been a stay at home mom since Kahlae was born. My husband Quincy owns a construction company across the country and alternates being away and home (one week home in Texas, one week in Pennsylvania). So with this dynamic, and with a toddler and newborn, I realized my children and I would benefit from having another adult in the home with me full time. Kahlae is a very energetic, silly and playful toddler who loves to read books, play with his trucks and trains, and enjoys his gymnastics classes during the week. I don’t have much to say about Khari just yet, being a newborn, lol. But this just means you’ll get to see his budding personality for yourself as you grow with our family :) We do not have any pets.

I do not have a set schedule for you yet, but I’m thinking 9am/10am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. We hope to start Kahlae in preschool sometime around December so this schedule may change around that time. At this time, Kahlae goes to gymnastics classes Sunday at 11:15am, Wednesday at 4:15pm and Friday at 11:00am. You may either be attending with him while I am with Khari or vice versa (I attend with him while you are with Khari).

We enjoy going on family outings on Sundays when my husband is home. You are more than welcome to join us if you’d like. This would be up to you. My husband and I also enjoy going on date nights two days out of the month (may be on a Saturday night, or other night during the week). We would need you watch the children during this time but will discuss it ahead of time with you.

The main qualities we are looking for in an au pair is a very caring, loving and gentle person who will care for our children as if they were her own. Someone who will be energetic, playful, and nurturing. As a family we are very big on open communication and would love for you to come to us if you ever need anything.

We hope this experience will be just as enriching for you as it is for us. There are about 3 different colleges nearby should you decide to take up some classes. There’s lots to do and see here as well, being that we are near the city of Dallas.
