Hello, Future Au Pair!
We are a loving, multi-cultural couple who with a two year-old daughter named Amal who are looking for someone to become a part of our family as we are trying to grow in quantity ? My name is Kim, and I’m a nurse in New York City. I met my husband Hamdi (who was relocated here for work from Malaysia) in 2016 and we have created a wonderful home in a residential and safe part of the Bronx next to a subway that leads into Manhattan. We have a private house with a backyard and driveway that often confuses people as many think the Bronx only has dangerous apartment buildings. We have a finished private attic on the 3rd floor of our home that has air conditioning (and heat, or course) with a Queen-sized bed available for the Au Pair to seek comfort and sleep. From time to time, we have foreign friends staying in our home for a few days to weeks at a time. We often host lunches or dinners as well – we enjoy being around others and love sharing our home.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is Infant Certified, has experience with infants, and toddlers. We hope to have a second child, and caring for two will be a requirement.

We need help dropping Amal off at daycare Mon-Fri in the morning and picking her up by 5:30pm. She will need help in the morning changing clothes, brushing teeth/hair, giving her milk, packing her backpack, light snack before daycare. Upon picking her up, we will need help playing with her, preparing her dinner, bathing, night time book reading and putting her down for bed. During the day we would expect you to keep the play areas clean/tidy/stocked, maintain her bedroom, do her laundry, prep your & Amal's dinner, do your own laundry & keeping your room clean and the kitchen clean after you use it. Once that is finished, you have the remainder of the day to explore NYC before she is to be picked up!
We would like to have one date night on a Saturday night per month to have some alone time also :)
