Family's Introduction to Au Pair
Hi Dear Candidate,
We are a family of five; mom and dad, two college-age kids that are away at schools (don't live at home), and our youngest son who is eight years old and is currently in second grade. We are both working parents and need assistance with the young boy as described in the Job Description above. We have plenty of room in the house since the two older kids have moved out, so, you will have your own bedroom and bathroom. There will be one vehicle in the house for your use to carry out the required job driving to and from school and activities and errands as needed. We are good people and will treat you as a member of the family.

Job Description
During the regular school year, we need help getting our son ready for school in the morning: prepare breakfast, prepare lunch box and water bottle, pick up after the meal and place dirty dishes and eating utensils in the dishwasher or wash by hand if not dishwasher safe; assist him with getting dressed if needed (selecting clothes); drive him to school in the morning (8:15AM); while he's in school, help with kid's laundry (once or twice a week), organize/pick up play area pick him up from school in the afternoon (3:00PM) and drive him home or take him to after school activity (soccer or swimming once a week); assist with homework or academic school work/projects for one-two hours a day; prepare/warm dinner and serve; pick up after meal and put dishes/utensils in the dishwasher or wash by hand; play or entertain while wait for parents to come home.
During the summer break (8 weeks June - August), take the kid to the neighborhood's swim & tennis club for swimming practice in the mornings, tennis lessons midday, and diving practice late afternoons; come home as needed to prepare/eat breakfast, lunch and dinner or take prepared meals to the clubhouse to eat there (no need to come home). Au Pair will have access to club's facilities (pools and tennis) to use while kid is busy with practices or competitions and after work hours and weekends if desired. The salary will be negotiable (following the guidelines), depending on experience, recommendations and first aid training, etc. Working hours are Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00AM to 9:30AM in the morning and continuing from 2:30 to 6:30PM in the late afternoon/evening during regular school year. During the 8-9 weeks of summer break it will be Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 6:30PM in between swim and dive practices and tennis at the clubhouse and home breaks to eat and change clothes as needed.
