Hi!! We're so excited to meet you and potentially welcome you into our family. We're a family of 4, with 2 awesome kids, age 6 and (almost) 2. A bit about us to start:


I'm Alexis, a young (or at least I still like to think I am, ha!) working professional mom. I work from home in my home office, so you'lol see a lot of me, but I'm generally glued to my computer monitors on Zoom meetings all day - which is why we need some help with our amazing kids!


My husband, Youness, is in luxury car sales and can work long hours. He is from Morocco and has been living in the USA for 8+ years now.


We have always had a passion for cultural exchanges and travel. We met ourselves through a language exchange over a decade ago - and the rest is history! We have lived in France, Morocco, and the US and ultimately decided to settle in Omaha, where we are now, when we had our oldest son 6 years ago. We love Omaha for its reasonable cost of living, four real seasons, sense of community, and many many things to do for a young family.

We are an active family. Our kids are involved in many extra curriculars and school events. They both have swim lessons weekly, Ayoub plays cello and does a seasonal sport, and Ellie does classes at the library and dance. We like to be out and about often when not working.

Our schedule is pretty set and many weeks, you would get a 4 day work week. I travel for week about every other month and so we may need some extra help during those days.


We would LOVE more than anything else for our kids to pick up some foreign language skills and cultural knowledge from you. I'd like you to soeak your native language to them for the majority of your working hours, and then we'll speak in English the rest of the time (unless you prefer otherwise!).



While I'm open to someone who wants to be present only during working hours, I would also love to welcome someone to our family to really be a part of the family. You will be invited almost always when we go on family outings, to our meals, and our trips. You are welcome to join (or decline) as you please.

Most weeks will be a 4-day work week, consisting of shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday of 8a-6p. There may be occasions where we ask you for a few hours midday on Thursday but this would be rare and communicated in advance. Roughly every other weekend, we’ll ask you to watch the kids on a Saturday night for date night.
You’ll be responsible for prepping lunch for the kids on work days. These are simple foods like Mac and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, fish sticks, and chicken nuggets. You may on occasion need to make them breakfast - again simple foods like yogurt, scrambled eggs, oatmeal. There is no expectation to meal prep other meals, but if you like to cook, you are welcome to
You will be responsible for school pick-up on your work days.
Light housework: We’ll ask that you keep the kids laundry up to date (washed, folded, put away), rooms picked up, main living spaces picked up from kids activities as they finish them, and dishes / any mess from meal time cleaned up. You can (and should!) enlist the kids’ help in these tasks ;)
Please speak your native language to our kids! We are big on foreign language exposure and acquisition. Teach us too!
Alexis works from home and will be home the majority of the day with you.
