Bonjour! I am Mairi, a medical student whose has a passion for working with children and cultural exchange. My childcare experience spans ten years, starting with babysitting in my neighbourhood, volunteering with girl scouts, working for summer holiday camps and looking after my young family members. Outside my university studies, I enjoy an active lifestyle and being outdoors. I am from Scotland and have dual nationality of British and Irish. I can speak basic French, but I would love to become fluent therefore I am fully dedicated to learning the language of my host family. Having undertaken a two-week exchange programme to Bordeaux in high school where I was fully immersed in French, I learnt I am adaptable and love to fully embrace the cross-cultural experiences and share my own cultural heritage. I am mature and reliable and my approach to childcare is characterised by patience and creativity, fostering an environment where children can grow, learn and explore. I can be flexible, adjust to changing schedules and unexpected circumstances. I would love to be an addition to a host’s family home during my university vacation from June to August 2024, with July being the preferred month.
