I am already very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself to you.
My name is Shadia, I am 22 years old and from the small city in Uganda called Namasuba, I live with both my parents and siblings, two sisters, one younger brother and three cousins, we are a United extended family. My father is an interior designer who is really good at what he does and my mother on the other side is a local business woman dealing in selling kids toys and bags.
From a young age, I have been absolutely captivated by the joys and rewards of nurturing, teaching, and learning from children. Working as an Au Pair has always been a dream of mine, and I truly believe that I am the perfect fit for this vibrant, enriching, and important role.
My passion for this career path is fueled by my natural ability to connect with children of all ages and backgrounds, as well as my innate affinity for creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for their growth and development. I am detail-oriented, communicative, and punctual, and I am confident that these attributes, combined with my boundless enthusiasm, make me an invaluable addition to any family seeking an Au Pair.
Although, I am a dependable and attentive, it is my unwavering commitment to encouraging children to reach their full potential and foster their love for learning and exploration that truly sets me apart from other candidates. I recognize that the role of an Au Pair requires adaptability, patience, and understanding, and I assure you that I possess these qualities in abundance.
Two years ago, I volunteered at Joy for Children Uganda as a helper in handling children at the same time handling my degree, it really helped me learn more about child handling and caring and really had fun doing it. I’ve also worked with a logistics company in Uganda called Bollore as a clearing agent during my internship at University and I acquired more social skills and communication skills to interact well with people and networking.
In my free time, I like reading novels, adventuring, listening to music and usually having fun around my little siblings and cousins since they are many at home. I like seeing kids happy and joyful so I spare as much time as I can for them when not at work.
The reason why I want to go to the USA as an au pair is that I want to get to know the American culture and way of life. More so it would help me acquire more knowledge of taking care of children and there handling as compared to the African way. It will further improve my English language and social network with different people.
