My name is Catherine, I am born in Ireland and my parents moved my family and I to Australia when I was 4 years old. I have recently left living in Australia for the past 16 years to see more of the world and have ended up in Switzerland. Taking care of children has always been a huge part of my life, as I am from a family of nine older siblings. I have 10 neices and nephews that I took care of in Australia on a daily bases.

Last year I did nannying for a 1 year old and 5 year old for a family in London. I was in charge of school drop off and pick up, the school was in walking distance. I cooked nutritional meals for the children, including snacks. I took care of household chores: the kids clothes, the laundry was put away, tidying up kids toys, packing for kids holiday, running errands.

My boss Clare showed me the nap routine which I stuck to very carefully. She wanted the children to be sleeping certain points in the day. Including on holiday, and I stuck to it. I also did the evening routine of dinner, bath and bed. And I babysat one night per week.

Alot of my neices and nephews are now in kindergarden or primary school and babysitting them would always entale educational activities, outdoor sport activities, and of course fun games so there was always a good balance. I also have great experience in housekeeping as with many brothers and sisters with there own homes and familys, when I would come by to babysit I would also help with household chores, such as : Laundry, cleaning floors, childrens bedrooms, cleaning the bathrooms, kitchen, dishes etc.
I really enjoyed taking care of kids and miss it alot since moving away from Australia. Apart from babysitting I am also a qualified pastry chef. This was my job in Australia. I have great culinary skills since being a chef so if needed, cooking meals, breads or desserts is absolutly no problem with me, as it is a great passion of mine.
