Introduction
Dear host family,
I'd like to start my first letter to you with introducing myself. My name is Kseniia. I’m Russian. I'm 25 years old. I have finished Southern Federal University in Russia. I have a master's degree in pedagogy.
I would describe myself as a reliable and caring person, who tries to make the best out of every situation. I like spending time with my friends; they are – as well as my family – very important to me. Always trying to help, I’m always there for them if they need me. I have three dogs, I will be happy if you like animals. Every summer I go to the zoo. Rostov zoo is the largest in Russia!:)
The reason why I want to go to the USA as an au pair is that I want to get to know the American way of life as well as different cultures. Most importantly, it would be a great chance to spend an entire year taking care of children. I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like a big sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just play and fun. I hope we can have a good relationship, working and living together as a family. I would be very happy to experience an eventful year with you and your children. I would like to gain new acquaintances and, of course, new knowledge about the American culture. I would also love to represent my own country and its culture.
As for my experience in caring of children, I would like to say that during my holidays and weekends for a long time I look after my nephews (Kira 6 years old) and Liliia (4 years old). I worked as a counselor in the Crimea. I have been working as a teacher since 2018. I teach Russian language, English language and literature. A year ago I got a promotion and started working as a teacher at the university where I studied. It is my pride and my achievement.
I would be happy to have the opportunity to speak with you: to answer whatever questions you may have about me or my childcare experiences.
