Dear future host family,

Thank you for taking time to read my letter. My name is Leslie Jean and I would like to introduce and describe myself in this letter. It was always a dream of mine to travel and work in a foreign country and I am really excited for that to come true soon.

I am from the Philippines and the eldest among 4 siblings. My mother is a housewife and a vendor of fish or vegetables at the same time, my father is a house painter. My siblings are all working hard to finish their studies, we have good relationship in our family and we work hand in hand to achieve our goals in life.

I grew up in family wherein in a day to day scenario we always shred sweat for our basic needs. With that situation I started to outgrow in believing myself rather than drowning with my doubts. I trained myself to be independent so I could somehow lessen my parents struggles, I became a working student at the same time college scholar and during my summer I worked 2 jobs. So I am proud to say that I graduated my college degree with my hard work and persistence. With all that I have been through in my life, it keeps me more firm and be able to withstand every challenge I may face.

I love taking care of my siblings and taking care of children very much. I was a working student taking care of 2 children ages 1 and 10 years old wherein I will be the one to make sure that they eat their food, drink their milk, take their bath and play with them when their mother is at school. At night I will also taught the 10 year old her home works and the things she needed to study for school. I love to be one of the AuPair family and start my journey and dream. I am a hardworking, kind and trustworthy person. I have initiative to do things and manage my works in time, I am fluent in English since I have also worked as a customer service representative for 2 years. I can also cook and I am willing to learn and cook new dishes from your country if you would like to.
