Dear host family,

I hope this message finds you well. I can't wait to finally meet you soon. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself to you.

My name is Julie am 26 years old and I'm from the small province here in the Philippines. With my parents, and I have 2 brothers and 5 sisters, I am living in a house that is located in an area full of nature. I have a dog and his name is Max, who love to cuddle all day. My father is a construction worker and my mother used to work as a housekeeper. Overall, we are a pretty large family.

As an au pair candidate I might be the one you are looking for because I'm trustworthy and independent person. I really love to be part of your family to help you in cleaning your home or taking good care of your kids. I'm also an optimistic, kind and fun person.

I would describe myself as a reliable and caring, who tries to make the best out of every situation. I like spending time with my friends; they are – as well as my family – very important to me. I'm always trying my best to be available to help as long as I can, and always there for them if they need me.

In my free time, I love to listen to music especially Taylor Swift's songs, watching series or movies and I really like to swim in the beach or clean river and sometimes I go hiking with my friends if we're not busy with work. Pingpong is one of my favorite sport but I'm not actually a good at it but I'm trying my best to improve my skills whenever I got the chance to play.

At the moment, I'm seeking for new job since my previous contract as project human resource in an Engineering Service ended last December 2023 due to project completion. But before that I used to work as secretary in a small engineering service also for 7 months where we provide good services with our clients. And I became a tutor in a half german and half filipino family here in the Philippines for a month, these three kids whom I tutored are very kind and adorable. I enjoyed the job very much, because I experienced a great bond with them. I also used to work as purchasing clerk in one of the companies here in SBMA Olongapo, Philippines. And I'm happy to share that my first job was a Classroom Teacher, I taught for a year in a private school during the pandemic (2020-2021) and I can say that it was a challenging yet grateful experience as a fresh graduate and a breadwinner of the family that time. Because during that difficult time I'm so proud that I can provide for my family.

I gained my Bachelor's degree as Secondary Teacher year 2019 at President Ramon Magsaysay State University here in our province. And I also passed my board exam in the same year and I got my license last January 2020.

Though I enjoyed teaching for a bit there's something in me that want to explore more that's why I'm taking different jobs as long as I can earn for me and my family I'll go for it until I can find the job where I can be the happiest version of myself.

For the past years, I took good care of children of all ages from different families. One of them are kids of my high school teacher where I lived with them in exchange where my teacher supported my studies during 3rd year until I graduated in 4th year highschool. I became very close to this family especially with the kids Patricia and Paula they are the kindest and I cherish the time I have spent with them. When my siblings were still little, I'm the one who also took good care of them when our parents were not around or working.

Currently I have 2 nephews and 5 nieces. I really love to take care of them, to play and feed them and even clean their home when their parents are busy. Through this time, I have found out how much fun it is to have children around, I can’t imagine a life without them. They're the cutest.

Through these experiences of mine I find the love of taking care of children and keeping their house clean.

One of the reason why I wanted to become an au pair is that I like to get to know the different way of living (because my entire existence I only known the Filipino way) and to explore as well as different cultures and places. Most importantly, it would be a great chance to spend time taking care of children, keeping their homes tidy and to provide a safe space for them. It would be my pleasure to help the parents by keeping an eye on their lovely kids while they're busy providing the needs of their family. It will be a wonderful feeling to be with the family that can treat me as part of their own fam and it will be a great experience if I'll be able to learn a new languages as well.
