Dear Host Family,
My name is Sheila Mae. I am 24yrs. old single (female), I am currently living here in the Philippines. A bachelor’s degree holder in Secondary Education major in Technology and Livelihood Education and also last 2019 I’ve passed the Licensure Examination for Teacher (LET). Currently working in Philippine Statistics Authority as contract of service Team Supervisor.
I come from a family of 8: My mother Rowena is a housewife and My father Cleto is a carpenter/mason. I am the second from the eldest of six siblings. I have 2 sisters and 3 brothers. My Eldest brother is 25yrs. old and he is not living with us since he moved to his girlfriend’s house. My sister Erica who is 21yrs. old, is now a graduating student taking up Tourism Business Management. My younger brother Gio 14yrs. of age, is now a Grade 9 student in high school. My youngest brother Mathew 10yrs. of age is now Grade 6 in elementary and also my youngest sister who is now in Grade 4 which is Xyra, 8yrs. of age.
When it comes to child care and household experience I have helped my parents look after my siblings as I grew up since I am the eldest sister. My parents let me experience this at first hand and being their sister, I need to be responsible for them to look up as their role model as they grow up.
With a burning desire I want to become an AU PAIR because I know I will be able to handle difficulties in life. I believe being an au pair will help me being an independent and responsible person. Taking good care of my host family gives me more responsibility and I want to offer or lending a hand even in my own little ways. I also want to experience the meaningful way of being an au pair where we will be able to share one’s experience and culture with a year of adventure to become an extended part of the family as a big sister.
I can assure you I will do my duties as required by my host family as you can see, I am really easy as I am to live with as I am not the demanding type of a person. I do respect that the house is your house and I have to follow the rules that is set by you.
