Introduction
Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. My name is JM, I am from the Philippines, and I would be delighted to become part of your family.
I have already spent two wonderful years as an au pair in Europe: my first year in Germany and my second year in the Netherlands. Those experiences taught me so much about childcare, responsibility, independence, and the beauty of cultural exchange. More importantly, they confirmed that caring for children and supporting families is something I truly enjoy.
I have always loved being around children, especially babies and young kids. I enjoy watching them grow, playing with them, reading stories, helping with their daily routines, and creating a warm, safe, and happy environment where they can feel comfortable being themselves. I believe children learn best when they feel loved, listened to, and encouraged.
One of my biggest passions is cooking. I genuinely enjoy preparing homemade meals and trying new recipes from different cultures. My previous host families often complimented my cooking, and even now they still send me messages telling me they miss the meals I made for them. Knowing that my cooking brings comfort and happiness to others is something that means a lot to me.
Outside of childcare, I enjoy reading books, learning new languages, travelling, discovering local cafés and markets, exploring museums, taking long walks, spending time in nature, and simply wandering around new places. I also enjoy doing errands and grocery shopping, it may sound simple, but I find satisfaction in helping with everyday family life and making things easier for everyone at home.
I love animals, especially dogs, and I would be very happy to help care for family pets as well.
I hold a bachelor’s degree and I currently work as an ESL teacher, helping students improve their English communication skills. Teaching has strengthened my patience, communication, creativity, and ability to adapt to different personalities and learning styles. I enjoy encouraging others and creating a positive learning environment, whether in the classroom or at home.
I also have eight years of driving experience and can confidently drive both manual and automatic vehicles. I understand that driving children safely requires responsibility and attentiveness, and I am comfortable assisting with school drop-offs, activities, or family errands if needed.
One of the things I value most is cultural exchange. I enjoy learning how families live in different countries, discovering new traditions, tasting local food, and learning new languages. For me, becoming an au pair is much more than travelling; it’s about becoming part of a family’s everyday life, sharing cultures, and building relationships that last even after the program ends.
My faith is also an important part of who I am. I regularly attend church twice a week, once on a weekday evening and again every Sunday. My faith guides my values and reminds me to treat others with kindness, respect, honesty, and compassion. I hope to continue this practice while living abroad.
If you choose me as your au pair, you can expect someone who is proactive, dependable, adaptable, respectful, and easy to live with. I enjoy helping wherever I can, whether that means caring for your children, preparing meals, helping around the house, or simply bringing a positive attitude into your home.
I hope to find not only a host family but a second home where we can learn from one another, create wonderful memories, and share everyday life together. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my profile. I hope to have the opportunity to get to know your family soon.
Warm regards,
JM ??
