My name is Doofan, and I am from Nigeria. Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I am currently looking for a warm and respectful family with whom I can share a meaningful au pair experience.

I have over two years of experience working with children, particularly in nursery and primary school settings. In addition to my professional experience, I also regularly babysit for relatives and family friends, so caring for babies and young children is something that comes naturally to me. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, helping them learn, play, and feel safe and supported.

I would describe myself as patient, caring, responsible, and easy to get along with. I am calm under pressure, organised, and attentive to children’s needs. I enjoy reading stories, singing, playing games, taking walks, and creating a positive environment where children can grow and feel happy.

English is my native language, and I would be delighted to speak English naturally with your children through everyday conversations, stories, songs, and play. At the same time, I am excited to learn about your culture, traditions, and way of life. I would also love to share a little of my Nigerian culture with your family, including food, stories, and customs.

I also have some background in French. I studied French for three years in secondary school and for one year at university. Although I haven’t used it in a while and would need to refresh my knowledge, I am confident that living in a French-speaking environment would help me improve quickly. I am also currently learning Spanish on Duolingo because I genuinely enjoy learning new languages and discovering different cultures.

Beyond childcare, I am happy to help with light household tasks related to family life, such as preparing simple meals, tidying up after activities, and helping keep children’s spaces organised.

For me, becoming an au pair is not just about travelling. It is about becoming a caring and dependable part of a family, building genuine relationships, and creating wonderful memories together. I hope to grow personally through this experience while contributing positively to your home.
