Introduction
Due to the fact that I am the only child, I adore children. I grew up taking care of my younger cousins, and last December 2022 I decided to apply as an au pair in the Netherlands. As of now I'm currently au pair here in The Netherlands. I lived with them for a year, and in exchange for my weekly allowance and free lodging and accommodations, I helped them with light household chores like Ironing, doing the laundry, cooking, and taking care of their two children, a 5-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl. And for my oldest host kid, I help him prepare for school, prepare his lunch box, and most of the time I take care of my 1-year-old host kid. I’ve begun to learn how joyful it is to have children around. I can surely say that spending time with kids has always been something I truly appreciate. It is not related to my degree, which is a bachelor of science in marine engineering, but it is not a hindrance to my dream and passion to take care of, love, play with, and teach the kids.
I realized I have to step up in life because I want to discover what’s more in life by exploring. I want to have some great memories to look back on when I grow old so that I can say I am proud and happy for myself. I am highly interested in becoming an au pair for your family. One reason is because of the program between host families and the au pairs in the culture exchange system. Being an au pair, I believe, will encourage me to be more self-reliant and responsible. Taking care of my host family requires extra duty on my part, and I believe I’m capable of being a good au pair for your family because I am responsible and trustworthy in the tasks given to me. I am independent, patient, open, respectful, responsible, and, most of all, family-oriented. I am looking forward to meeting you and your family.
Best regards,
Marife
