Hello dear future host family,
My name is Mayra Regalado, I am Mexican and I am 24 years old, in the following lines I am going to tell you a little more about my life.

I was born and raised in a small town called Juchitán de Zaragoza, a town with many customs and traditions in the state of Oaxaca, however, more than 5 years ago I moved to Puebla (another beautiful city in Mexico) with the sole objective of grow professionally and with the hope of one day returning home to be closer to my parents: Silvia and Ángel; my grandfather, Hector and my doggy, Lola.

I currently live with my sister, her name is Miriam and we both completed our studies, she is a doctor and I have a degree in languages.

I consider myself as a person between introvert and extrovert, I love spending time at home cooking cookies, cakes, pies, and desserts that I learned from my grandmother a few years ago, I also enjoy watching documentaries on Netflix, although I am very entertained watching Gilmore girls , which has become my favorite series in recent months, in addition to that, I like to go downtown on weekends to appreciate some cultural activity or have a coffee with cheesecake (my favorite).

In the middle of 2021 I started looking for a job as a teacher and had the opportunity to work in 2 schools teaching English. At first, being in front of many preschool children was challenging, however, the fact of having cared for and spent a lot of time with my nephews and children of my classmates, made me feel confident that I could work with children and over the months, the desire to be an Au Pair in the United States.

During my classes at both schools (Bristol School and Helsinkids) I had the opportunity to unleash all my creativity, I was able to cook, do crafts, play, meditate and teach in a fun way. Every day I carried out activities that on weekends performed at home and my students and I had a great time. The most comforting part was seeing them achieve their goals and learn to do things for themselves.
My goals when I return to Mexico are to continue giving private classes, and to be a homeschool teacher, because I haven't told you, but I often prefer to work in a personalized way to be able to give all the necessary attention to the student, I would also like to give yoga classes to adults (actually, I dream of having my own yoga studio and language training center).

The reason why I want to live this adventure is because I consider that being in the care of your children as an Au pair in the United States is a very nice opportunity to continue developing my skills and abilities working with children, I would like to improve my level of English , in addition ,I want to take advantage of the opportunity to take a course during my stay in your country. I´m confident that living with your children and with you will increase my personal baggage and I
´m sure that I' ll learn a lot.

I really have many goals that I know I can accomplish with the help of God, my parents, and you as a host family.
