I am happy to introduce myself to you, my name is Danniela and I’ve just turned 18, but enough to have lived enriching experiences in my life to the point that almost everyone tells me that I’m very mature for my age. I currently live with my parents Julio and Yadira, hard-working, smiling and kind people, from whom I learned many qualities and things in life that I already have extra advice to give. My parents taught me to respect all living beings, they taught me to have confidence in me and to love myself, they taught me to be shared with everyone and to give to those who need it, but especially to be perseverant and fight for all my dreams. And here I am, fighting for one more dream.
I come from a big but very united family. I don't have siblings so I always lived a lot with my cousins, uncles and grandparents, I remember every weekend being together at my house to play volleyball, foot base, eat roast beef and have fun like never before. I have the fortune to have lived with people of different ages and with different abilities throughout my life, making it very easy for me to relate with everyone and respect them.
Just as I was always surrounded by relatives, I also grew up surrounded by other little ones that I consider were part of the family. I had rabbits, fish, turtles, a duck, hamsters and dogs. Being surrounded by animals made me have a lot of empathy for living beings and realize that we all deserve a life full of freedom and love, so when I grow up I would love to set up a shelter for the street dogs that live in my city.
I live in one of the most diverse countries, my dear Mexico. I love it for its culture, traditions, beautiful beaches, biodiversity, delicious food and the warmth of its people. I currently reside in Morelia Michoacán, a city known for the cathedral and its food, such as gazpachos, enchiladas and traditional candies, which I would love to share with my host family.
I have always had an interest in doing something for the world, and having a positive impact on society. I have participated in contests with projects to help the environment, like a sustainable shower that uses few water, another project of a biodegradable material based on mango peel that replaces plastic, and even a mental health project for teenagers, I’ve given speeches about global warming, I also have an instagram page that gives environmental data to raise awareness in society. I participated in the Model United Nations MMUN in Rome. I believe that the little things can make the difference, and by putting our grain of sand, we can make things better.
I just finished high school and I am concentrating on learning piano and French. After finishing the Au Pair program I plan to go to Paris to study Fashion Business. It is a world that I have loved since I was little and I would love to work in the high fashion brand and some day have my own brand.
