Hello, my darling future host family! My name is Sadanna, and I’m 18 years old. I’m from Green Count - Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek city. However, I’m living in South Korea now.
I’m an all-round person, starting at school age, I tried different areas, for example, knitting, swimming, skiing, sewing, drawing, cooking (I’ve completed the pastry courses and I love cooking different sweets), editing videos, and leading the page on Instagram, I love outdoor activities, especially I love games with the ball (Volleyball, basketball, tennis), also, I like work out. Although of all of my hobbies, my favorite it’s- reading books. I have fallen in love with books, I adore traveling on the pages of books and experiencing a thousand lives of the main characters.
When I was a child, I used to dream about little bro or sis, that’s why, with great zeal, I always agreed to look after the neighbor’s children. At school, I’ve taught lessons for kids (English, Math, Russian), in addition to school, I was a tutor and a nanny for my second cousins. One second cousin is called Artur, he is 7 years old. I have been a nanny for him since his birth and a tutor for the last year (preparation for school). The other second cousin called Adil after he had turned a year became a childminder for him and a tutor for his first year in school. Also, I have sweet little sisters, one of them called Yasmina who is 5 years old, and Aliya who recently turned 2 years old. I wanted to become a volunteer last year and help people, so I chose the National Red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic. I had 2 directions: social and work with children. In the social direction, we worked with vulnerable groups of the population. In work with children, we worked with kids from orphanages and with disabilities. We tutored children from orphanages, and also came to have fun, playing different games and arranging holidays. To work with children from the hospice, we had to undergo a special 10-hour training to learn how to communicate with them correctly, and how to respond in critical and unforeseen circumstances, and we were taught wellness procedures.
Working with such kids is emotionally exhausting, looking at them, I experienced a sea of sad emotions and madly wanted to help them at least somehow, I felt happy when I had seen any changes in the children for the better, looking at their smiles was the most pleasant for me.
I decided that this program for me when I had known about them, I muse, that it’s a great opportunity to fulfill my kid’s dream of becoming the older sister, be a permanent mentor, and share my experience with children as well as get to know the culture of such wonderful country and expand my knowledge and experience.
