Hello my dear future host family! My name is Valeriya. I am from Kazakhstan. I live in Petropavlovsk, which is quite small but well-developed city.
I work as a tutor and I worked at school for some period of time. My profession is a teacher and I’ve graduated a university in 2019 with bachelor’s degree. Working with children is not just my job, but also a hobby . I like inventing some nice ways to spend time together and learn new things. I worked with children of different ages and we always had fun together. One of my first students was David, he was only six years old at the moment. His grandmother wanted him to get better marks in English because he struggled with learning it. It was my first experience as a tutor and the money I felt guilty about it because I was shocked that I can do what I like and get money for that. We started with a game then proceeded with grammar topics and then we worked it out with some play. David’s favorite task was to learn the words cause I asked him not just to read and learn but to make a show using these words. He liked showing animals, I recall his favorite animal was a bear. As I started tutoring David I got more students. So when I was at university my weekends were full of lessons. Some of my students came to my house and with some of them I worked at their place.
I have already been an au-pair in Germany and it was a great experience for me. I am open, kind, responsible, and reliable and I really love kids and working with them. The most important thing about this program for me is the opportunity to become a part of your family and exchange our experiences! I would like to learn something from you and I would be glad to teach you something new.
