Dear Host Family,
Hello! My name is Kyoko. I am an active and cheerful person.
(Currently I am an AuPair in Hawaii for 4 month and I am a looking for a new host family!)
First of all, let me introduce myself. I am 25 years old and was born and raised in Osaka. I like outdoor activities like camping and fishing. I also like cooking, especially Japanese food. My favorite food is Sushi and Okonomiyaki, which is a famous local food in Osaka, and I also like cooking it.
Now, let me tell you about my family. My father has a company that imports cars from the U.S. to Japan. He can fix any car that exists in this entire world. He has a sense of humor and is very supportive of what I want to try. My mother is a housewife. She used to work at a bank, but she quit her job when she got married. Her meals are amazing, so I learn how to cook well from her. And I have a 23-year-old brother. He is a
general manager of few Japanese restaurant in Cambodia. My family is get along with well! And not to forget, I have a cute black Labrador. She is 3 years old and so smart. And I have a little lovebird. He is 7 years old and can cut any piece of paper straight 5 cm using his beak.
I like traveling abroad (domestically too, of course!). I’ve been to more than 10 countries but never have stayed too long like a year, so this Au Pair program will be an amazing experience for me to meet local people, be a part of your family, and spend time together.
I taught Japanese to foreign children in Thailand for about 2 months when I was a university student. Not only the language but also Japanese culture too. When I left Thailand, students understood pronunciation, reading (hiragana), counting numbers, and how to shop at the supermarket in Japanese.
To be honest, working at the nursery school was my first experience taking care of children aged 0-6. I enjoy communicating with children and when they learn new words, I’m so glad. I get used to changing diapers, feeding them, and playing with them day by day.
Every day they learn new things like drawing, how to use scissors, and words. They also fight sometimes. I would like to support them, and I am so happy to be a part of their life. They might learn from the way I talk and behave, so I need to be well-behaved, and it is a good opportunity to check myself. Taking care of children can be very hard at times, but what is more precious is their smiles. I would like to have fun with them through doing some activities like cooking, outdoor activities, talking, and storytelling!
If I become your au pair, I would like to enjoy various activities with your children. If they are interested in outdoor activities such as camping and fishing, I would like to do them with them. Taking advantage of my internship experience in Thailand, I can also teach beginner-level Japanese.
I am good at driving, so I think I can help your kids pick up and drop off or when you go out to a distant place. I have been driving almost every day in Japan and U.S. since I got my license. (I have valid driving license here)
