Hello host Family!
My name is Tashfia, but you can call me Fio. I’m a 23-year old from Surakarta, a beautiful city known as the heart of Javanese culture in Indonesia, and I would love to become a part of your family as your au pair.
I would love to bring my childcare experience, creativity, my passion for cooking, and warmth into your home, and become someone your children feel safe, happy, and comfortable with.
I’m currently finishing degree while working part time as a kindergarten teaching assistant, supporting children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. I also have over 500 hours of childcare experience. I also love cooking, especially Asian cuisine. My family runs an Indonesian restaurant, so cooking and trying new recipes have always been part of my daily life, and I would love to share this with my host family.
As the eldest daughter in my family, I grew up with my younger brother and sister, and we share a very close bond. This has naturally shaped my caring and responsible personality when it comes to children.
One of my most meaningful experiences is caring for my cousin Meira since she was a baby. She is now four years old very energetic, a little stubborn, and always full of curiosity and energy to play. We love spending time together, especially going to the playground and getting her favorite ice cream. Through her, I’ve learned how to be patient, understanding, and how to handle children’s emotions with care.
I’ve also volunteered teaching English to children aged 4–15 in a remote area, which strengthened my passion for working with kids, teaching and creating a positive learning environment.
Beyond childcare, I enjoy creating engaging activities. I build a creative community in my hometown where we host workshops like cooking and crafts, and I would love to bring this creativity into your home.
In my free time, I also enjoy connecting with nature, I love exploring new places or simply spending quiet moments outdoors.
During my university years, I’ve been actively involved in student organizations and international environments, including Model United Nations and other collaborative projects. These experiences helped me become adaptable, open minded, and confident in connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
I would love to be someone you can rely on and trust with your children. I’m excited to share my culture, learn from yours, and build a genuine connection with your family.
