Dear Host Family,
My name is Bethari, and I’m a 25 years old from Indonesia. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, but I’ve always loved working with children and have always wanted to experience life abroad as an au pair.
I have previous experience as a primary school teacher and also volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged children in a small village. Additionally, I’ve taken care of my younger cousin, which helped me develop patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach.
I also have 6 months of experience as an au pair in China, where I accompanied and cared for a 4 years old boy. During my time with him, I helped create an English speaking environment through daily conversations, games, and fun learning activities. I also acted as a supportive big sister by supervising him, helping him develop soft skills, encouraging positive behavior and emotional intelligence, and being a safe space where he felt comfortable expressing his thoughts and feelings. This experience taught me how important patience, communication, and emotional support are in a child’s growth and development.
I’m excited to bring my responsible, caring, and enthusiastic attitude to your family while learning about your culture and sharing mine. I enjoy drawing and doing art related activities, playing badminton, and swimming. I would love to help your children learn and grow in a fun, supportive, and positive environment.
