Dear Host Family,

First of all I want to thank you for reading my application and spending time on getting to know me better. In the following lines I want to tell you something about my family, hobbies, everyday life and my hopes and expectations for year as an au pair.

My name is Falko. I live together with my younger siblings and my parents in a house in Ersingen, a small town near Stuttgart, in the south of Germany. Julius, my eight years old brother and I often spend time together, when my parents are out. In this time I cook for him, help him with his homework and take care of the household, like the laundry and cleaning.
My family is very important to me, we have a great relationship and I am really happy about their support for my wish becoming an Au Pair.
At the moment I attend grade twelve at secondary school and will graduate in June 2012. After my year abroad I either would like to study medicine or become a pilot.
There are lots of reasons why I want to be an Au Pair: Taking care of children, living in a new and unknown country, meeting new friends, studying at a college and not at last to improve my language skills. It will be a wonderful experience to share my life with your family for a whole year.
For giving you a first impression of me I want to tell you something about me and my personality. I would describe me as a friendly, reliable and open-minded person who is interested in getting to know new countries and people.
In my free time, I love doing different kinds of sports especially playing volleyball and soccer, swimming and snowboarding. I also enjoy meeting my friends, going to the movies and traveling through Europe.

In conclusion, I would like to thank you very much for reading my application. I am looking forward to being an Au Pair and also a to spend a great and unforgettable year with your family.
