Dear future host family, my name is Lourdes, I‘m 25 years old and I live in Germany.
With this letter I would like to give you a first impression of me.
I‘m a very open, happy, loving, caring and responsible Person. I love reading books, doing outside activities, going the gym, cooking but I also love to have cozy evenings at home with the family playing boardgames with them or watching movies. Family time is the best time for me. Maybe we can have a fun Game Evening with the Family together or you could show me what your Family likes to do together! :)
The two little bundles of joy, you can see on my profile picture, are the two kids I take care of 2 times every week. I’ve been taking care of them both since their birth. I also have done an internship in a Nursing Home and a Home for disabled People, where I learned a lot about the Job of a Nurse and it was also very nice to have various conversations with the Elders there, reading to them, helping them eat, going for walks, playing card and board games with them and so on. Other than that I have also tutored kids in school in French and German. By the way learning and speaking different languages, is one of my passions too. I speak German, Portuguese (my Parents are from Portugal), some Spanish, some Italian, French (B1 Diploma) English and I have some basic knowledge in Dutch. I always dreamed about being an Au pair since I was little and saw older Students in School coming back amazed from their experiences as an Au Pair and as I already mentioned, I‘m a big Family Person and as an Au pair I get to help a family, spend a good amount of time with them and I get to see a Part of the World that I always wanted to go visit and explore, especially Texas! :) I would love to learn more about the American Culture, the different foods and the different Holidays, that we don‘t have in Germany, like Thanksgiving.
