Dear host family,
My name is Violette, I am a 22-year-old student in psychology, currently in last year before having my degree. I was born in Paris, but I live in Toulouse since I was 6 years old. I live with my older sister (she is 26 years old). I also have a twin brother who is a carpenter and lives with my mother in the countryside near Toulouse. My dad lives in Paris with my stepmother, they are both cinema journalists.
I worked a lot with children during summers since I became a student (children’s entertainer, nanny).
When I was a child, I used to travel a lot with my father and my siblings, but it’s been a while since we did a trip. I would love to travel on my own, I actually did twice: I went to Madrid for two different weekends by myself and I loved it. I would love to travel farther and longer next year.
I will (normally) get my degree at the end of June, after that, my studies aren’t over, I must get another two years degree to get the title of psychologist. But before getting into this, I want to take a break in studies, I am not sure yet what approach of psychology I want to study in so it would not be a good idea to continue studies now without having a clear mind of what I want.
That’s why it’s a good that I take time to think about it and to take time away from what I know, getting out of my comfort zone, exploring the world, discovering new things and new people.
I would love to be welcomed in your family, to get to know your culture, to spend time with the children and to have a connection with them. Sharing your culture and your daily life would be a very good experience for me and I can’t wait to start this journey by your sides!!
