My name is Ana Milena, I am 28 years old, I am from Colombia and work as a professional Health Services Administrator. I would like to share with you some important things in my life, so you can get to know me better.
I am responsible, hardworking, helpful, loving, respectful,and sincere .
Since I was little I have been a very independent person, but I also like teamwork. I am a patient and tidy person.
I am a person as I have mentioned before, careful with my responsibilities, I have stood out for being a serious girl at the same time I make myself understood with the people around me and especially with children, I am patient, respectful and understand the situation that is being presented at the time, I am all terrain as we say here in my country, with the theme of food, climates, cultures, travel and places.
I am from the municipality of Chinavita in the department of Boyaca, I have two siblings. My sister is a nursing assistant and is 27 years old, My brother is a business administrator and is 26 years old, My Mom is 49 years old, and works from home, My Dad is 72 years old, he is a farmer. My parents separated 5 years ago.
After that my Mom met someone else. He is a farmer as well.
I don't have a boyfriend, and I have a cat named Terror.
I currently live in Tibana which is another municipality in the department of Boyaca. In fact, it is one of the most beautiful departments of the country for its customs, places, climate, landscapes, food and people.
I have worked here as a seamstress between the years 2011 to 2018. Since 2018 I have worked as a nanny.
I am currently doing English course with levels A1-A2 and B1, and also the course of pedagogical principles for Au Pairs.
I have completed my professional career as a Health Services Administrator (2021).
I have a first aid course (2021).
I have finished high school (2014).
In my free time, I like to exercise, cook, watch videos about recipes on the internet, watch documentaries, read articles about daily life, and watch news. I also like to watch drama series,and investigation and suspense TV shows.
Most of the time, I visit my family, I go to church every sunday, I like to listen to music all the time.
I have about 5 years of experience in childcare, in two homes of private families. In 2008, the oldest child was 6 years old, the second was 4 years old and the third was 4 months old. I worked for this family for one year.
In 2018 I began taking care of three other children, the oldest girl is 6 years old, the boy is 4 years old ,the baby was born in 2021 and is currently 17 months old. I am still taking care of them.
My responsibilities during the care of the children here in Colombia is to bathe them, prepare and give them food, keep their rooms and bathroom tidy, play with them and clothe them. I like to have patience when they are crying for something or when they fight with each other or even their tantrums.
The experience I have had taking care of children has been very enriching because it has taught me about love, patience and how much you can enjoy spending time with children.
Outside of the responsibilities I have had with them I have also done activities such as taking them on the route to school, to the park, bedtime and making sure they are safe.
I am a native spanish speaker and I can defend myself with the English language, at the moment I am studying english here in Colombia to continúe preparing myself, I have never taken an international exam to certify my level, but taking into account my previous studies at the university I can say that it is around A2/B1 on the CERF scale. I practice every day.
The reasons why I want to be an Au pair are the following: I love spending time with children because they are the best teachers in the world.
I can help them by supporting them as a big sister, friend and teacher. Also it is a great opportunity to improve my English and learn other languages,as well as learn about other cultures, places and people. I will be more than happy to share Colombian culture with you and your family as I will be happy to learn all about yours.
I am looking forward to having a great experience with my future host family and feeling part of them as we are going to live together and I am sure that they will become an important part of my life forever. I know I willI really appreciate the time we will spend together. I hope I can be the right person to take care of your children, because you can be certain that I will take care of them as my own children.
On the other hand, I want to tell you that I am of the catholic religión, I can adapt myself to the religión you follow, I have no problem, I am “all terrain” as we say here in my country, I adapt myself to the situation of the moment.
