Introduction
Back in my country I studied psychology and I specialised as a kids- and teenagers clinical psychologist. I really enjoy taking care of kids and giving them a nice and caring environment to grow safe and sound in.
I have experience with toddlers, kids and teenagers and I get along with them really well.
I lived in Copenhagen from April 2022 till march 2023 with a working holiday VISA that allowed me to stay and work there for a year. That’s when I fell in love with the country, city, the culture and its values! I’m already familiar with the city and how to get around!
I currently hold a Working Holiday VISA for Germany, which expires on the 30th of April 2024, so I would love to use this opportunity to go back to Denmark not only to reconnect with a place I admire but also to immerse myself further in Danish culture, language (I already have a busy DuoLingo life with 70 days!), and most importantly, contribute meaningfully to a family.
Beyond providing care and support to your children, I see this experience as a two-way journey. I am eager to learn from your family's experiences, traditions, and perspectives, contributing to a mutually enriching cultural exchange.
I’m used to working with people just as I did back in Chile as a psychologist and lately I’ve been working in the service industry as a waitress in 3 different restaurants (2 of them in Denmark). In my prior stay in DK I worked as a housekeeper in Happy Helper, having experience taking care of household chores as well.
I think I’ll be a great addition to your family because I’m open minded, helpful and highly organized, reliable, and responsible in managing daily tasks and schedules. You can trust me to prioritize the safety, well-being, and development of your children while also assisting with light household chores related to their care.
I am eager to bring my skills, experiences, and enthusiasm to your family and contribute positively to your children's lives.
Also I was a girl scout for almost 8 years, in which I nurtured a deep sense of community, love for nature, animals and adventure. I'm easygoing, I love laughing and having a good time, but also hardworking. I really enjoy cooking and baking! I've learned from the best (my mom hahah). I like going for runs and to train a little bit to take care of my mind and body. I usually find joy in simple things and I like getting to know new people and places.
I feel very excited when learning new things, and I'm always working in some kind of handcrafted project like embroidery, knitting, drawing, etc
Having lived in Denmark previously, I developed an affection for the country's culture, values, and way of life. My desire to return to Denmark as an Au Pair stems from a wish to immerse myself further in this cherished environment, to contribute to a Danish family, and to continue the cultural exchange that I deeply value. The opportunity to reconnect with the country I love and with the people I've met here, to deepen my understanding of its traditions, and to forge new connections while contributing to a family's life excites me a lot. This experience represents a convergence of my interests in other cultures, my personal connections and the desire to embrace Danish culture once again!
I'm currently in Denmark enjoying holidays with friends I met when I lived here. I'll be staying till the 17th of January when I have a flight to visit my family in Chile till the 29th of February. My flight back lands in Copenhagen on the 1st of March.
Since I'm already in Denmark, I thought it would be great to meet up and chat. It'll help us understand each other better and make the application process easier. I'm super excited about the chance to be a part of your family and help out in any way I can.
Looking forward to meet you!
Best wishes,
Camila
