*Dear Host Family,*

My name is Ramibel, and I am 25 years old from Buea, Southwest Region, Cameroon. First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter. I am very excited about the possibility of becoming part of your family as your Au Pair.

The reason I want to be an Au Pair is because I truly love children and I am passionate about cultural exchange. Growing up in a big, loving family in Cameroon, I learned from a young age how to care for younger siblings and cousins. I helped with feeding, bathing, homework, and playing. Those experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how much joy children bring into a home.

For the past 3 years, I have worked as a nanny and childcare helper for children aged 2 to 10. My duties included preparing children for school in the morning, helping them with homework in the afternoon, cooking simple and healthy meals, organizing educational and fun activities like drawing, reading, and outdoor games, and keeping the children’s rooms and play areas tidy. Parents trusted me because I am reliable, calm in stressful situations, and I always put the safety and happiness of the children first. I see childcare not just as a job, but as a chance to help children grow, learn, and feel loved.

I am a warm, cheerful, and respectful person. My friends describe me as patient, hardworking, and easy to get along with. I believe good communication is very important in a family, so I will always be open with you about schedules, needs, and any concerns. I am also very adaptable. I know that every family has its own routine and rules, and I am ready to follow them and support you however you need.

One of my biggest motivations to become an Au Pair in Ireland/Europe is cultural exchange. I would love to learn about your traditions, your food, your language, and your way of life. At the same time, I would be so happy to share my Cameroonian culture with your children. I can teach them African songs, cook traditional meals like jollof rice and plantains, and tell them stories from home. I believe children learn best when they are exposed to different cultures, and I would be honored to be that bridge for your family.

In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking, listening to music, dancing, and going for walks. I am also very creative and I love doing arts and crafts with children. I believe play is an important part of learning, so I always try to make activities both fun and educational. I am non-smoker, I have a clean driving record, and I am comfortable with pets.

I understand that being an Au Pair means being part of the family, not just an employee. I promise to respect your house rules, to be punctual, to help with light housework related to the children, and to be a positive role model for your kids. My goal is to make your lives a little easier while giving your children a caring, stable, and fun environment.

I am available to start as soon as the visa process is complete, and I am open to staying for 12 months. I have all the required documents ready, including references from families I have worked with in the past.
