Dear Host Family,



This is Muriel, I am without children and I'm 29 years old. I'm so excited about this cultural exchange and the opportunity to live with a Host Family as their Au pair. I'd like to get to know you and your loved ones and to know if we have the same interests. With that being said I'm also open to trying new things.

Indeed I would be glad to travel in December 2023 and work with your loved ones even for 24 months. I made sure to understand the responsibilities of au pair and I will be a perfect fit for them.

I like keeping a house warm and neat, and I love putting a smile on children's faces. And I have a lot of compassion for parents. It's a challenge to be a great parent while having to work full time. I get that.


People laughed at me when I talked about becoming a child caregiver. I understand they don't have the big picture. Yes au pair earned a frugal amount but they get the tremendous blessing of learning another culture, a foreign language, or another skill or volunteering, and most importantly make life long friendships.

For 9 years now, I worked with many families eg two American children one aged 6 months and a teen with special needs, 13 years old.



In Cameroon I currently work with 3 children. In May I volunteered at an orphanage and I have grown into a more patient, skilled person.



My ability to be quick to listen, to talk when necessary - not to talk much- and to be gentle when working with children, has served me well.

I am fluent in 2 languages English and French and If the host Family allows me to, I wouldto I would like to do age appropriate activities for each child such as art and crafts, painting, dancing, singing, etc.

PS: My hobbies include reading self- development books, journaling any positive experience, celebrating holidays with friendly people, playing board games with older people, cooking from scratch some healthy meals, etc. What are some family tradition you have during the holidays?
