Dear Host Family,
My name is Zi (rhymes with hi) Aire Tompkins and I am a 23-year-old female born in the United States from a northern suburb of Chicago, Illinois. I want to be an Au Pair to learn about a different culture firsthand while being able to apply my experience and skills. I am excited to see a new perspective and interact with individuals with different ways of life. I love working with children because I love how they encourage me to ask questions and find creativity in situations. Knowing I am a part of a child's development and growth is special and an amazing learning process. Children teach me patience, to be open-minded, and to love, but most importantly they remind me to be kind.
I am currently employed at United Cerebral Palsy Child Development Center and have over five years of nannying experience and years of daycare experience. I understand all the responsibilities of caring for children and my calm, patient, and nurturing personality helps me master all situations. I am very comfortable working with children of all ages,
especially toddlers. I am excited at the prospect of being able to care for your children and help your family in whatever way I can. Your family should not only choose me due to my experience but my responsibility, trustworthiness, flexibility, and ability to problem-solve. I was raised in a well-mannered home and although rules and boundaries are extremely vital, there is always room to have fun. As your future Au Pair, I can offer my best effort and experience to help your child with any developmental needs and goals they have. I am young, active, and full of enthusiasm and I will care for your child and help them learn and grow!
