Hello, my name is Amy. I am a recent university graduate who is looking for an au pair opportunity. I just graduated with a degree in Business (Finance) and Psychology with a minor in Computer Science.

A little bit about me, I love children and I enjoy being around them. I think each child/person is born with their own unique talents and while we can teach them, we can also learn so much from them. I am an only child, so I never had the experience of having siblings or children around the house (except for me), which is why I think I may enjoy being around children so much now.

Additionally, the one thing I also never got to do in college is travel as much as I’d like to, and I would love to be able to combine childcare with experiencing the culture of a new city and having fun doing activities with the kids. I am also able to teach English and tutor other school subjects if necessary. I am also happy to hold a scheduled set of household responsibilities, and my nature is usually well organized and clean.

I was born and raised in Glenview, Illinois (30 minutes outside of Chicago), and I am generally outgoing and extroverted. In my free time I enjoy seeing friends, spending time outside, doing yoga or other exercise, playing sports, and spending time with my dog! I love going to new places, exploring new food, artwork, and music.

I’d like to be able to give ample individual attention to any child I au pair for, so my ideal situation is with one or two children. In the past, I have babysat for boys and girls from 2 years old to 12 years old.
