Hello! I am Katherine, born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am currently finishing up my degree in Sociology at a University in the suburbs of LA. For now, I am looking for an Au Pair job within the Los Angeles and Orange County area. I graduate college in December 2024, and am looking for an Au Pair job that would allow me to attend in person classes twice a week September through mid-December. I will get my class schedule at the end March 2024, and will then be able to update this and discuss my schedule more. I want to become an Au Pair because I love kids and value being surrounded by family. My experience working with children is vast, and I believe that there is so much kids themselves can teach us as we help them navigate life and growing up. In your home, I would love to be around to the capacity you desire. I love to be alone, but I also love engaging in meaningful and fun conversation with those around me. As much as you want me to be a part of your family's life, I will willingly and joyfully show up! Though I have never been an Au Pair, here are some of my previous experiences: I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old, have worked with kids in various professional capacities such as being the director of summer camp for elementary aged children, and have lived with my friends and their four foster children, ages one to seven. I have also served in the nursery at my church and am the oldest of four children, so I have grown up with many responsibilities and opportunities to nurture and care for my siblings and other's kids as well.
