Hi, my name is Anna Maria,
I am a single mother household, we live in Rome, Italy.
I am looking for an au pair for my daugther Elettra.
She is 15y, a very cheerful, warm and friendly girl, she loves and rides horses.
Her father, Marco, lives in the same building, he is very caring about her and meets her almost every day. He works in the engineering field, renewable resources.
My work is Hand surgeon: (orthopaedist MD), I work in a public Hospital and I work on shifts (mornings or evenings).
We live in Rome, in a green area, 40 minutes by bus from the Colosseum (and the city center), we have a language school, a church, a supermarket (grocery store etc..), cafès, coiffeur, shops, a bus stop within a walking distance. The apartment, 120 mq, has tree bedrooms and two bathrooms.
We love to stay with Elettra the longer we can, Marco, takes Elettra with him half the time. Every other week.
We try to be a “greeny” family: recycling, eat organic when possible, no more than two hour a day for Elettra of i-pad or other screens;
In the week-ends Marco and I are mostly free, we stay with Elettra (separately or together) and see the rest of the family (2 brothers of mine and 3 nieces), we will be happy if some times you'll be with us.
We love open air activities, music, reading books, going to museums (Elettra loves books, animals (HORSES), singing and playing).
We wake up 6.45am and I would like you to be ready at 7am (monday-friday) prepare breakfast with Elettra and me and have breakfast togheter with Elettra and me, Elettra goes to bed 10.30 pm.
YOU WILL HAVE A LOT OF FREE TIME.
You will be treated with love and respect as a family member. I'll teach you some Italian cooking, and I'd love to learn some different cooking from you. I'll do my best to make you feel at home and to make your stay in Italy the more comfortable, enjoyable and useful possible. I'm sure Elettra will love you and you will love her and we will have wonderful time together. Dear Aupair,
we would like Elettra to improve her English.
You should organize half an hour English lesson every day.
I offer 200 euros/month (50 weekly), for a maximum of 10 hours weekly (you pay your trip to Italy), a bedroom for you, a bathroom 90% for you: we use it few times as the washing machine and two cats being there.
We have 2 sweet cats.
Free wi-fi, you'll bring your pc if you use it. Any help you would need: find a language school, introduce you in the city of Rome, help you to find friends etc...
We are looking for a happy, friendly, easy going yet very responsible au pair that truly loves to teach, wanting to join our family for 1-2 months,or more, only live-in. The reason why we are looking for an aupair is that Elettra improves her English, that's why A TEACHER WOULD BE THE BEST! But first of all we want Elettra to stay with a lovely and caring girl, a positive model for her and a friend. I prefer that Elettra learns English with you during daily activities and will only have maybe 1/2 an hour "language class" a day. Better if you have some experience in teaching language or you being a teacher.
Beside language class, for me music is very important, so if you can involve Elettra in any singing or playing music I will really apreciate.
Elettra goes to school monday-Friday 8am-2pm.
You will always have one or two day off/week: Saturday and/or Sunday free or another day.
If you work more than 10/hours in a week, you'll work less the following week.
I will have 15 days of holydays in July and 15 in August (I’ll know my schedule at the beginning of each month). She will be on holydays with her father, Marco, or with my brother and his 3 daughters (with their nanny) or with me. With or without you, we'll tell you.I will give your schedule weekly, but it may always change a little bit and I would like to ask you to be elastic.
The job duties in our house is helping us in keeping the house clean and tidy. I have once a week a lady helping for heavy housework (moving furniture to thoroughly clean, wash the floors, doing the windows, my bathroom, my room, my ironing). You should be used to help around the house.
You will keep your room and bathroom perfectly clean and tidy everyday (this will be done out of your 10 hours/week au-pair schedule).
When you're not on duty you can go out, but if you're home at meals time, I'd like you to eat with us (breakfast at 7am, lunch at 2pm, dinner at 8pm) and we share duties (cooking and cleaning).
I'd like you to use pc, cellular, ipad etc.. As little as possible: NEVER when you're on duty, because I would like her to grow a little bit "unplugged", she is too much on screens, and i don't like it, but if you use it for teaching purposes it's fine .
