Introduction

I also teach European & Saudi etiquette, customs and social graces to Saudi children, children with learning disabilities, teenagers and adults.
My skills set are typically corporate, in that I am an inspirer, a leader, a problem solver, analytical planner, critical thinker. I am also highly adaptable, flexible, reliable, punctual, trusted, always ready to hit the ground running and handle contingencies. These derive from my very strong maternal instincts and I am blessed to list them as my strengths.
My most satisfying achievements are that all my former students keep in contact with me, invite me to graduation and family celebrations. It makes me very happy and proud that I have made such favourable, enduring impact in their lives.
I have a passionate interest in promoting and educating the (Saudi Arabian) public about organ donation, expelling the myths and giving a clear understanding how it is a religious, social, civic and moral duty.
My hobbies are yoga, SCUBA diving, parachuting, gliding, horse riding. I run and swim everyday to keep fit, and every year I do the London Marathon (42.2 KMs) with my father. I have an aptitude for sport and great genetics for it too.
I adore visual and performing multi cultural arts. I love listening to live music, and I enjoy all types of music, from the Arabian Gulf 'Sawt' folklore to Brazilian Bosa Nova.
I am very lucky to have travelled a lot, and visited people and places where I have had a chance to revive my French and Spanish languages. Etymology is another interest of mine.
I love to explore new places, locally or distanced, I like to research and plan trips to places of historical/architectural interest. Planning the routes there and onward or return are chosen to include scenery and be a different route on each leg. I prefer to drive than be driven, I find it very relaxing. These exploration trips involve frequent stops and pauses for me to practice macro-organic photography. 'Organic' here meaning that I do not move/arrange/alter the subject, I take the shot as it caught my attention, and then I do not use editing tools other than cropping.
I love to cook, prepare salads and bake bread. The pandemic has given me a wonderful opportunity to get creative in the kitchen again, much to the delight of my family.
My success in teaching children and adults is down to patience and understanding, establishing what my students needs are and methods of learning are by applying the sciences of intelligence modalities. Then I use the stages of a presentation, practice and then performance, using this method as broadly from teaching hand writing to horse riding. And it has to be a fun learning experience, so that the student desires more and never tires, and asks for, and seeks out new targets/goals, and then sets themselves challenges.
Building trust is simple and fast when you as a teacher exude confidence and strength, belief in what you can guide your student towards and beyond. Creating the thirst for knowledge and abilities is a gift that keeps on giving for me as the teacher, and obviously for the student and the student's family too.
The opportunity to empower and launch another human being is an honour and a great responsibility that I take extreme pleasure in doing.
As a governess, I am able to give comprehensive learning to children, and am able to maintain the high standards that I introduce. The true test of a parent/nurturer is in that the child will act in the right way, and make the right decisions in your absence. Expanding their consciousness makes them more considerate, understanding and more aware of consequences, and ripple effects of their actions.
A major part of teaching is using the protocols of cly you can teach more by strategically observing these. enges logically, helping the student analyze them is time and effort well spent, investigating the whys and wherefores and broadening solutions are building blocks of the student's character, and these skills will come into play throughout the child's life.
Effect time management, and a crucial balance of work, rest and play are all equally important to creativity. Enabling the student and involving them is key in structuring their lives. Always offering variety & new experiences is stimulating and refreshing and to add surprises & adventure makes learning more enjoyable.
Once a student starts to recognize the positive effect that my teaching has on their abilities & personality, they become more motivated and determined to take on tasks, and experiment. To see the flash of recognition in a student's eyes, and to watch them well with pride is so rewarding for me, & then to watch them share their triumphs with their family and friends is when my work really pays off as being my true profession, (yes profession) of a governess, and a supporter and confidant of the students's family, social and educational network.
