Dear Family,

Your child is uniquely beautiful with his/her own special light to offer the world. As a caretaker, I will take steps ensure this light shines brightly and that they are able to recognize their own beauty. I am here to support and empower your child as the individual that he/she is. Expect your child to not only be looked after, but to be nurtured, loved, and cared for deeply. Each child has certain skills and talents that need to be nurtured in effort to bring about the balance necessary to become a well rounded person. Children should have the ability and freedom to explore the world around them, their creative mind and depths of their imagination.

I have a beautiful nephew from whom I have learned much from and through whom I have gained an understanding of the nature of a child. As I have watched him grow, I have continued to marvel at the inquisitive yet precocious minds of children and their loving and innocent natures. A child comes into the world free and unencumbered, this should never be compromised; we as guardians are here to guide, never to place any judgment, or instill fear or anger, only to support with love, understanding, and care.

I look to my experience as an au pair as a journey of some sort. Children can be such a source of inspiration, and not only do I look to inspire, but I look to be inspired.
